Vegas is calling Arizona State's game Saturday against Illinois a toss-up. Betting lines have opened, and the line opened at even money.
The Sun Devils opened their season, and the tenure of newly installed head coach Todd Graham, with a 63-6 win Thursday over Northern Arizona. Arizona State's first four offensive touchdowns all came on the ground — though the four scores were broken up by one interception return touchdown — and finished with seven rushing scores.
The Sun Devils ultimately rushed for 305 yards, of which Marion Grice contributed 107 and three touchdowns.
Illinois also broke in a new coach, Tim Beckman, in its opener, a 24-7 win over Western Michigan. The Fighting Illini didn't pull away in that game until the fourth quarter; Western Michigan was four plays into a drive down 17-7, but Ashante Williams scored on a 60-yard interception return to put the game away.
Arizona State and Illinois kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT Saturday on ESPN.
