One of the big things that the Pac-12 has done over the past couple of years to increase its visibility is create its own TV network that will bring in increased revenues to the whole conference. It is coming this August, specifically on August 15. The Arizona State Sun Devils have multiple games that will be aired on the network, including their first game of the season on August 30, a Thursday night.
However, the Pac-12 Network will not be a widespread station in Arizona to start with, unless something changes. As of right now, Only Cox will carry the network locally. Neither DirecTV nor DISH have picked up the network yet.
If that doesn't change, then the only way to watch the Devils' season opener will be to actually go to Sun Devil Stadium -- which is a good idea to do anyway.
So if you have been waiting with baited breath for the start of the new dedicated TV network for the Pac-12, and you don't have Cox, then you have to either spread the word and get it on your TV provider or change providers.
Here is the promotional video on the new TV network for the conference.
