Former Arizona St. Sun Devils linebacker Vontaze Burfict has developed a bit of a reputation and he didn't do very much to dispel it at the NFL Combine.
When asked about his situation at ASU, Burfict blamed the former ASU coaching staff, telling reporters they "kind of messed me up."
And then there were his skill measurements:
Rob Rang, a draft analyst for CBSSports.com points out that Burfict was slower in the 40 than 36 of 48 defensive linemen at the combine. He was even smoked by the heaviest guy there, 346-pound nose guard Dontari Poe of Memphis.
Oh, and Burfict also had the worst broad jump among linebackers and tied for next-to-last at his position in the vertical jump.
Don't expect to see Burfict too high in any mock drafts moving forward. At least not until he sorts out his attitude and proves he has the physical ability to make it at the next level.
