National Signing Day 2012: Local Recruit Javon Williams Headed To UCLA

Javon WIlliams, a consensus 4-Star recruit, and Chandler, Arizona native, has committed to the UCLA Bruins, announcing the news on television on National Signing Day 2012. Williams who played for Chandler High School, though staying close to home was really never an option for him as he was deciding between the Bruins and the Arkansas Razorbacks the other finalist for his services. Obviously he decided the warm southern California sunshine would do him best, and with new head coach Jim Mora, a team that is on the up and up.

Williams was the 36-highest wide receiver in the nation according to the Rivals rankings, and the fourth best in the state of Arizona. He joins a UCLA squad that has a number of young talented receivers like Jeffrey Johnson and Ricky Marvay.
