National Signing Day 2012: 4-Star, Top Juco RB Marion Grice Selects Arizona State

The Arizona State Sun Devils, already having landed top local running back D.J. Foster have now reportedly added another quality player. Brian Perroni from Rivals.com reports that Blinn College running back Marion Grice, considered a 4-star recruit and the highest rated Juco running back in the nation, has chosen to play for ASU.

He will join Cameron Marshall, Deantre Lewis, Kyle Middlebrooks and Foster in the backfield.

From ASU blog House of Sparky:

At 6'0", 210 pounds, Grice has ideal size for the position, and he also reportedly runs a 4.5 time in the 40. That blend of power and speed makes him a valuable all-purpose back, something that ASU's depleted backfield could use. Returning starter Cameron Marshall is a dynamic every down threat, but Deantre Lewis, Kyle Middlebrooks and incoming top recruit D.J. Foster are all speedy backs that aren't suited for continuous between-the-tackles running. Grice's addition helps even out the team's skillset in the backfield.

With the loss of Brock Osweiler at quarterback to the NFL Draft, the Devils have no QB on their roster that has made a start in college, so the talented corp of runners will ease the pressure that whoever starts will have. The running game could be very, very good this season.
