ASU Vs. Mizzou: Increased Number of NFL Scouts Expected For Showdown

If the stakes weren't high enough already for the Arizona State Sun Devils and Missouri Tigers, the early word out of Tempe is an unexpectedly high number of NFL scouts will be in attendance for the game Friday evening (7:30 p.m. MST on ESPN).

From Craig Morgan of CBS Sports, he tweets:

Cards, Raiders, Texans, Colts, Skins, Panthers, Giants, Vikes, 49ers, Bears, Falcons, Steelers, Ravens will have scouts at #ASU-Mizzou game.

As for the players those scouts will likely be in attendance for, one would have to assume all eyes will be on star linebacker Vontaze Burfict. A good number of those teams project to have high draft picks in the 2012 Draft and linebacker is always a position of need looking to be filled.

As for Mizzou, their star tight end Michael Egnew projects to be a first or second round draft pick next season. The senior has some of the best hands of any tight end -- or wide receiver, for that matter -- in the country and projects to be an impact player at the next level.
