The Arizona Wildcats are coming hot off a spectacular run last year to the Elite Eight, so it figures their national championship odds would be a bit inflated this season. Arizona is currently listed at 40/1 odds to win it all, despite the fact that they're losing two critical cogs in All-American power forward Derrick Williams and Lamont Jones. It'd be really surprising to see Arizona replicate those numbers even with the talent they have with guys, although Sean Miller is definitely one of the best coaches in the conference.
The Arizona St. Sun Devils seem to have very long odds to capture it all this season. ASU is coming off one of their worst seasons in the Herb Sendek era and it doesn't look like things are going to get better this season, so it figures the odds would be low at 150/1. ASU is definitely going to have a long road up to even make the tournament, so we'll have to see how much improvement they can make these first few months.
