Vontaze Burfict Doesn't Make All-Pac-12 Football Team

Arizona St. Sun Devils linebacker Vontaze Burfict looked like an All-American candidate at the beginning of the season. But he had a lackluster season and didn't perform up to his potential, and his team fell apart down the stretch (especially defensively). Burfict became the posterchild for the woes of ASU football, and his failings were magnified by the failings of the Devils as a football team.

Burfict's underachieving culminated with the ASU defender not being named to the All-Pac-12 football team on either the first or second teams (not even honorable mention either). It was a stunning fall from grace that no one could have anticipated coming into this year.

After the jump, here are the names that have been listed for both the Sun Devils and the Arizona Wildcats. No one made the first team, so here are the athletes that made it on the second team.

Second Team: OL Garth Gerhart, Sr., Arizona State, DB Clint Floyd, Sr., Arizona State, RS Jamal Miles, Jr., Arizona State, DB Trevin Wade, Sr., Arizona
