BCS Rankings, Week 14: Stanford And Oregon Poised For Two Pac-12 Bids

It didn't look like the Stanford Cardinal will have to fret anymore about the BCS. Stanford moved up to 4th in the latest rankings, and if they hold that position they will clinch an automatic spot in the Bowl Championship Series. This will ensure two Pac-12 bowl bids in the premier BCS for the second straight season, which should again improve the overall profile of the conference.

Likely to join Stanford in the BCS mix is the Oregon Ducks, who are overwhelming favorites against the UCLA Bruins in the inaugural Pac-12 championship game. Oregon will clinch their bid in the Rose Bowl if they triumph on Friday night, earning the automatic bid from the Pac-12 championship game. There's an outside chance that UCLA could win andn get to the Rose Bowl, but don't consider it a likely option.
