The Arizona St. Sun Devils played the Oregon Ducks pretty tough over a month ago. That seems like a lifetime ago, as ASU has collapsed down the stretch with three straight conference losses and are now on the outside looking in on the BCS rankings. Any hopes for an at-large bid collapsed after those those three losses, and they can only hope to find their way back to the BCS race by getting to the Pac-12 title game and upsetting the North representative (likely Oregon, possibly Stanford).
Oregon tumbled to tenth while Stanford rose up to sixth. If ASU somehow gets to the title game and scores the upset, the Sun Devils could knock the North team completely out of the BCS race, since it's possible a loss to lowly ASU would tumble them out of the top 14. It's not likely, but you can't count out any potential scenario.
