AP Poll, Week 8: Arizona State Drops to 24th

For the second straight week there was no change in the top 10 of the AP College Football Poll, though there were some important changes within the top 25 for week eight of the season, including the Arizona State Sun Devils almost dropping out of the polls.

After falling to the Oregon Ducks in Eugene by the score of 41-27, Arizona State nearly found themselves out of the top 25 for the first time in a couple of weeks, and will look towards their meeting with the Colorado Buffaloes to get back on track next weekend. As for the Ducks, they remained in ninth in the rankings this week, as did the rest of the top 10; including Stanford at seventh.

LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Boise State round out the top five, though the big news of the polls was Kansas State moving up to 12th, the highest they've been ranked since the preseason of 2004. Washington (22) and Georgia (24) were both unranked last week, making the top 25 for the first time this season.
