Arizona Wildcats, ASU Sun Devils Football Idle This Weekend; Does Anyone Care?

College football in Arizona took a turn for the worse in November. Going into this dreadful month, Arizona was 7-1 and had a realistic, though outside chance at a Rose Bowl berth. ASU was 4-4, coming off a shutout victory over Washington State at homecoming. Both teams had reason for optimism.

The month of pilgrims, turkeys and giving thanks has taken the wind out of the sails. Combined, ASU and UofA are 0-4 in November, losing in mostly excruciating ways: ASU losing to USC on a missed field goal, the Wildcats falling short to the Trojans at home, and Stanford coming up with wins against the schools as well.

So now that both teams are taking the weekend off, does anyone care? Are you glad that they have a break, giving the opportunity for their fans to recuperate from the trauma that has been inflicted?
