Final BCS standings 2012: Pac-12 heavily represented in top bowl games, rankings

The Oregon Ducks and Stanford Cardinal lead a strong showing by the Pac-12 in the final BCS standings with four teams in the top 20.

The final BCS standings came out on Sunday and though no Arizona schools were among the top 25 teams, there is still plenty of intrigue among the standings and the matchups that will happen as a result.

In the Pac-12, the Oregon Ducks finished No. 4, followed by the Stanford Cardinal at No. 6, Oregon St. Beavers at No. 13 and the UCLA Bruins at No. 17. The Ducks are headed to the Fiesta Bowl to face the Kansas St. Wildcats while the Cardinal will take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Rose Bowl. The Beavers will play the Texas Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl with the Bruins headed to the Bridgepoint Holiday Bowl to try to stop the Baylor Bears.

The Arizona St. Sun Devils are headed to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against the Navy Midshipmen and the Arizona Wildcats will face Nevada Wolf Pack in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
