With the college football season at a close, the eyes of college football fans now turn to the bowl season, and on a selection Sunday dominated by the non-AQ BCS busters, both the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils still await their bowl fates.
According to CBS Sports, both teams are bowl bound, with the Wildcats headed to the New Mexico Bowl and the Sun Devils off to Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. If those projections turn out to be true, Arizona would be pitted against the Nevada Wolfpack and Arizona State would grab a spot against the Navy Midshipmen.
At SBNation.com, Jason Kirk says differently. He is projecting that Arizona State will land in the late-bowl season GoDaddy.com bowl against the Kent State Golden Flashes, while the Wildcats should expect instead to land at the New Mexico Bowl. Either team would face Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl, as that bowl invitation is confirmed and reported.
