BCS standings 2012: Arizona breaks in at No. 24

The Arizona Wildcats are ranked No. 24 in the latest BCS standings, and a game against the Sun Devils on Nov. 23 will determine their fate.

The Arizona Wildcats are ranked No. 24 in the BCS standings for Week 13 in the 2012 college football season thanks to consecutive wins over Utah and Colorado. They'll have a difficult test ahead to stay there, however, as they host Arizona State on Nov. 23. at Arizona Stadium.

After being previously unranked, the Wildcats (7-4, 4-4 Pac-12) will have to take care of business against the Sun Devils (6-5, 4-4 Pac-12) in order to sneak into the Bowl picture. ASU is fully capable of shattering those dreams on Saturday as the game figures to bring out the best in both teams.

Six Pac-12 teams are in BCS standings, and they figure to each get an opportunity to take part in Bowl season. Arizona appears to be headed to Las Vegas to take on Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 22 as the fifth-ranked team in the Pac-12. If they fall to ASU, they could be relegated to the New Mexico Bowl.
