The Arizona Wildcats will try to become bowl-eligible with a win on Saturday over the Colorado Buffaloes. Colorado beat Arizona a season ago in their first meeting since the Buffs joined the Pac-12.
The Wildcats (5-4) are hoping to get back on track after last week's 66-10 drubbing at the hands of UCLA. Colorado (1-8) meanwhile is last in the Pac-12 standings and has lost its last five games.
In preparation for Saturday morning's game, SB Nation's Arizona blog, Arizona Desert Swarm, spoke with Jon Woods from Colorado blog Ralphie Report about the stuggling Buffs and what they will try to do against the Cats.
Woods answered questions about the Buffs' quarterback situation and the program's rebuilding process. When asked about how the Colorado offense can attack Arizona's 3-3-5 defense, Woods wrote:
I believe you attack it with a heavy dose of running and trying to pound a defense that doesn't have a lot of size on the field. Running the ball and keeping the Arizona offense off the field is a priority to attempt to try and stay in the game. We frankly don't have the speed to attack Arizona vertically with our receivers so running the ball is key.
The game kicks off at 10:30 a.m. PT in Tucson and is being broadcast nationally on FX.
