The Arizona Wildcats moved up from 15 spots out of the SB Nation BlogPoll rankings to fill in the No. 24 spot in their first listing on the weekly poll this season.
The Wildcats are coming off an upset of the USC Trojans that made the Trojans drop eight spots to No. 18 in the poll. The Wildcats made it six teams out of the Pac-12 in the poll following the No. 2 Oregon Ducks, No. 13 Oregon St. Beavers, No. 15 Stanford Cardinal and the No. 25 UCLA Bruins.
The Alabama Crimson Tide, Kansas St. Wildcats, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the LSU Tigers fill out the rest of the top five.
The Wildcats face the Bruins on Saturday, a week following the Bruins knocking off the Arizona St. Sun Devils in another epic game from the past weekend in the Pac-12. Both teams come in hot and will look to continue the momentum by beating the other. A 9-3 record for the Wildcats is well within reach, and the stretch run begins on Saturday against the Bruins.
