Diamondbacks Roster: Willie Bloomquist, Josh Collmenter Activated

The Arizona Diamondbacks made a series of moves on Saturday morning. Now that September is upon us in the baseball world, teams can expand rosters up to 40 players as long as there is a spot on the 40-man roster. The D-backs will likely end up on the outside-looking-in towards the playoffs this year, but there is still plenty of baseball left to be played.

The club reinstated Willie Bloomquist, Josh Collmenter and Takashi Saito from the 15-day disabled list. All three of these players have been rehabbing in the minor leagues the past couple of days and could start playing in Arizona within a day or two.

Konrad Schmidt has been recalled, while outfielder Tyler Graham has been called up for the first time from the Reno Aces. Cody Ransom has also been activated.

To make room on the 40-man roster, Daniel Hudson has been moved to the 60-day disabled list. Hudson underwent Tommy John Surgery in July and will not return until summer 2013.
