MLB Trade Rumors: Justin Upton To Stay Put, Stephen Drew Headed Out

All the trade rumors surrounding the Arizona Diamondbacks involving some of the best players in the game are exactly that - rumors.

Take Justin Upton for instance. USA Today's Bob Nightengale tweeted earlier that Upton is definitely staying in a Diamondbacks uniform. This information followed a report by Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports that the D-backs were working on a package that would have sent Upton and a pitching prospect to another squad for an ace starter.

Nightengale also reported that the rumor of a blockbuster deal for Cliff Lee or Felix Hernandez also were not in the works.

The one rumor that can be taken seriously at this point is the D-backs departing with shortstop Stephen Drew, according to Nightengale. The 29-year-old should be traded on Tuesday, most likely to the Oakland Athletics.
