Trevor Bauer Has Fantastic Start Pitching In Arizona

No, he was not called up to pitch for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He pitched Friday night for their Triple-A Reno Aces club in Tucson, Arizona against the Tucson Padres. But, yes, he was fantastic. Right-handed prospect Trevor Bauer continued his dominance of the minor leagues as he won for the third time since being promoted to Reno and the 10th time this season.

He went seven innings without allowing a run. He allowed five hits and walked two, striking out 11. He threw 101 pitches, 67 for strikes.

Arizona Republic writer Nick Piecoro was there in Tucson covering the game and tweeted that among the pitches Bauer threw, there were fastballs, curves, changeups, sliders and maybe a reverse slider.

Even with his dominance this season, there are no immediate plans to bring Bauer up to the major league club. They don't have a spot in their staff right now and there are no plans to move a pitcher just to bring him up. However, the team has acknowledged that Bauer will make it up to the majors at some point this season.

Trevor Bauer fans, you will have to be patient. It will happen, just not yet.
