As the Arizona Diamondbacks currently stand in the NL West standings, they are looking at an uphill battle back into the race. They have not gotten the production they had hoped from many positions, but in particular third base has been a problem. If Arizona desires to be a buyer in the upcoming trade market that will surely happen in baseball, they may be able to turn to the Boston Red Sox for a solution, as long time Boston standout Kevin Youkilis is reportedly available for trade.
This tweet says it all:
Red Sox are telling teams they definitely intend to trade Youkilis.

Youkilis, 33 years old, is a career .288 hitter who reaches base a ton, has power and can field his position decently well.
However, he has been bitten by the injury bug. He played in only 102 games in 2010, 120 in 2011 and only 27 this season.
While no reports have connected the D-backs with Youkilis, it has been rumored that both the San Francisco Giants and L.A. Dodgers could have interest.
Depending on the price, it could be a move general manager Kevin Towers is willing to make, considering that the team is getting almost no production at third base currently.
