The Arizona Diamondbacks have turned things around as of late and have been playing a bit better than .500 ball over their last dozen games. As the team gets healthier they should begin to gel more. This week offers a chance to gain some ground in the National League West.
First up, the Diamondbacks will visit the San Francisco Giants for a three-game series beginning on Monday. The D-backs are just three games behind the Giants and could move into a tie for second place with a sweep. Monday's game starts at 2:05 p.m. PT, Tuesday's game starts at 7:15 p.m. PT and Wednesday's finale also begins at 7:15 p.m. PT. All three games will air on FOX Sports Arizona, with the radio broadcast on KTAR 620. Tuesday and Wednesday's games will also be on MLB Network.
The Diamondbacks will have Thursday off before heading to Petco Park on Friday for another three-game series against the San Diego Padres. The Padres have stayed just as bad as the beginning of their season indicated, so this might be an easier venue for Arizona to pick up some painless wins. Friday's game begins at 7:05 p.m. PT, Saturday's game is at 4:15 p.m. PT and first pitch on Sunday will be at 3:35 p.m. PT. All three games will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona, with the radio broadcast on KTAR 620.
