Diamondbacks Vs. Padres: Pitching Probables, Game Schedule, TV Schedule, New Guy Starting

Pitching probables and gametime starts for the road series the Arizona Diamondbacks have against the San Diego Padres.

The Arizona Diamondbacks begin the first road trip of the their season after a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants. They now, after an off day Monday, start off their six-game roadie with three in San Diego to face the Padres. Starting off the series on the mound will be a pitcher making his first start in the National League in Trevor Cahill.

Cahill was acquired by the D-backs along with reliever Craig Breslow, for top pitching prospect Jarrod Parker. His spring was not great, but the sinker-baller will get his first real start against a Padres team not expected to do much this season.

Here are the times and pitching matchups for the week along with times for first pitch TV/radio coverage.

Tuesday, April 10, 7:05 PM: Trevor Cahill (12-14, 4.16 in 2011) vs. Edinson Volquez (0-1, 3.60)

Wednesday, April 11, 3:35 PM: Joe Saunders (12-13, 3.69 in 2011) vs. Cory Luebke (0-1, 9.64)

Thursday, April 12, 7:05 PM: Ian Kennedy (1-0, 4.05) vs Anthony Bass (0-1, 2.25)

Radio coverage for all games will be on Arizona Sports 620.

Tuesday's and Thursday's games will be aired on FSN-AZ, but Wednesday's game will not be televised.
