The Arizona Diamondbacks front office is tempting fate by announcing they will start selling single-game tickets to the "potential" National League Division Series on Friday. The D-backs are currently still three magic numbers away from clinching.
The team has lost four of their last six games while the San Francisco Giants who come to town on Friday for a three game series finally lost their first game since since September 10th. The Giants remain 5.5 games back, however, and would need to sweep the D-backs to even have a shot at preventing an Arizona pennant.
The Diamondbacks are also still chasing the Brewers for home field advantage in the first round. Milwaukee holds a two-game lead in that race with just seven games left.
Following the jump is schedule and ticket information.
If the D-backs secure home-field advantage during the Division Series, Games 1 and 2 will be played at Chase Field on Oct. 1 and 2, respectively. If necessary, Game 5 will be played on Oct. 7 at Chase Field. If the D-backs have to travel to another National League city for Games 1 and 2, Game 3 will be played at Chase Field on Oct. 4 and, if necessary, Game 4 will be played on Oct. 5.
Game times for all possible Division Series games will be announced at a later date.
Fans can purchase single-game Division Series tickets online at dbacks.com, by calling 602.514.8400 or in person at the Chase Field Ticket Office and any Ticketmaster location.
Numbered wristbands will be distributed in the ballpark plaza area near Gate A beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday to those fans wishing to purchase tickets at Chase Field. A lottery drawing at approximately 8:40 a.m. will determine the order of the ticket line, giving no benefit to fans lining up prior to 8 a.m. After a number is drawn, fans will be placed in sequential order and sales will begin at the Chase Field Ticket Office at 9 a.m.
Single-game tickets for the Division Series are priced at $140 for Clubhouse Box, $120 for First and Third Base Box, $110 for Dugout Box, $60 for Club, Infield Box and First and Third Reserve, $44 for Baseline Box, $43 for Club Reserve, $35 for Baseline Reserve and MVP Box, $22 for Bullpen Reserve and Bleacher, $18 for Infield Reserve and $12 for Outfield Reserve.
