The FanFest at the 2011 MLB All-Star Game is called the "world's largest interactive baseball fan event". There are over 350,000 square feet of exhibits and events for the family to enjoy. All of the baseball fun from the world's largest baseball to the batting cages are held inside the cool comfort of the Phoenix Convention Center from July 8-12. Here's all the schedule, ticket and parking information you will need.
The Phoenix Convention Center is located at 100 North Third Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004 in downtown Phoenix. It's just north of Chase Field and almost impossible to miss. The FanFest is being held inside the new portion of the convention center that was completed a few years ago. In fact, its very first event was the 2009 NBA FanFest.
Here's full directions from all parts of town as well as public transit and light rail information which is a great option. Parking is available all around the downtown area just as if you were going to a ball game. Here's a map to parking options or just ask one of the many helpful city ambassadors who will be out on the streets.
Tickets to the FanFest are around $30 for an adult with discounts for kids, seniors, students as well as value packs that include food vouchers for the many concessions inside the convention center. Tickets can be purchased at the event but to save time you can buy them online from Ticket Master.
