Diamondbacks Can't Get Over Giants Hump, 3-2

Not a bad game from the Dan Hudson and the Diamondbacks pitching staff. A quality start from Hudson and scoreless innings from the bullpen. Unfortunately, it needed to be just a tad better to beat Matt Cain and the Giants on this day. With the 3-2 loss, the D-backs get swept out of the bay and head south to face the Dodgers on the last leg of the California NL West road trip.

Hudson struck out five and walked three in this three earned run performance. Nate Schierholtz plated Cody Ross with an RBI single in the second and then in the seventh Andres Torres and Aubrey Huff added their own RBI singles to score the other two runs.

Offensively, Stephen Drew and Justin Upton both drove in a run in the eighth and the D-backs had runners on in the ninth but couldn't get it done.

Next up is MLB's team, the LA Dodgers for a three game weekend series.
