I was looking forward to sitting down and enjoying this game, but that's not going to happen. The afternoon game between Arizona and Colorado was postponed due to weather. The Diamondback played well in the first two of the season and had a shot at winning the first series of the season with a win today over the Rockies.
The skies were sunny and warm on Friday for Opening Day in Denver. But as it's very prone to do in that part of the country this time of the year, things turned cold fast. It's 36 degrees with snow and rain mix which forced this game to be postponed for another day which has yet to be announced.
The Diamondbacks now get to hop on a plane and head to Chicago where they open a series against the Cubs tomorrow. The forecast calls for 51 degrees and showers at Wrigley. Meanwhile, back in Phoenix, it's hot and sunny as it will be until October.
Joe Saunders was scheduled to pitch today with Barry Enright slated to take the ball tomorrow in Chicago. No word yet if Saunders will get bumped or if he will go on Monday.
