The Diamondbacks will use Joe Saunders (9-17, 4.47 ERA) as their starting pitcher in today's match-up while the Rockies will sport Jhoulys Chacin (4-2, 1.44 ERA) as their starter.

The Diamondbacks will be looking for a 2-1 start to this young season and for a series victory over the Rockies. The game starts at 12:10 and can be seen on FSN Arizona. Just the second game of the season and our beloved Diamondbacks have already found a way to toy with our emotions, very nearly coming back in the final frame to take the game from Colorado.

Speaking of good, how about Justin Upton's aggressive base running on Opening Day when he charged into the Rockies catcher for a hard, but clean, play at the plate. Love it!

"Anybody question's Justin Upton and what he's here for, the way he went into that catcher [Friday], I think it's pretty obvious," Gibson said. "That kid played his heart out."

It's the kind of hard-nosed baseball the D-backs are determined to play this year. "We have to go get after people," Upton said.

"We're the type of team that has to grind for every win that we get. Plays like that are going to define a team, so to get one on Opening Day was nice."
