Diamondbacks Pound Stuffing Out Of Cubs, 11-2

The Arizona Diamondbacks hung seven runs on Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Ryan Dempster in .1 inning(s) of "work". Stephen Drew kicked things off with his career-first grand slam with no outs in the first. The four RBI tied his career-high with one swing of the shortstop's mighty bat. Drew finished the evening with 5 RBI.

It was all downhill from there for the Cubs in this royal beat down the Snakes inflicted on the baby bears.

Barry Enright took the lead he was given and went 6.2 innings and gave up just two runs on 114 pitches. Josh Collmenter came in and finished up the seventh for Barry and struck out his first batter with that funky delivery of his. He then proceeded to finish off the rest of the game with three strikeouts and no hits in 2.1 total innings. It might be time to move this guy up in the bullpen pecking order.

The D-backs and Cubs meet again on Friday with Dan Hudson taking the mound.
