Willie Bloomquist Placed On DL, Josh Wilson Recalled From Reno

Tough break for Willie Bloomquist who's been out with a hamstring injury for a couple of days. He's now on the DL retroactive to April 22 and the Diamondbacks have recalled infielder Josh Wilson from Triple-A Reno.

Wilson, 30, hit .351 (20-for-57) with 11 runs scored, 5 doubles, 2 triples, a home run and 12 RBI in 16 games with the Aces. Over parts of 4 Major League seasons with the Florida Marlins, Washington Nationals, Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners and D-backs, he hit .227 (192-for-845) with 71 runs scored, 41 doubles, 6 triples, 7 home runs and 62 RBI. In 12 minor league seasons, he posted a .281 average (1109-for-3951) with 569 runs scored, 230 doubles, 41 triples, 76 home runs and 519 RBI in 1,056 games. This will be Wilson's second stint with the D-backs, as he also saw action in 11 games with the club in 2009.
