The Arizona Cardinals made the selection of their starting quarterback in John Skelton but that isn't the only news coming from the team. With the 53-man roster being cut down to the final members, the Cardinals have been filling out their practice squad, which happens to include Skelton's brother, tight end Steve Skelton, who was cut before being brought back to the practice squad, according to Revenge of the Birds.
Defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin, outside linebacker Ricky Elmore, offensive tackle Steven Baker, wide receiver Gerell Robinson, linebacker Colin Parker and Skelton are all players that have been mentioned among those that will be on the practice squad.
Veteran offensive tackle Pat McQuistan was also brought in as a possible replacement for versatile lineman Jeremy Bridges, who "brought an edge and an understanding of the scheme with him. He was always solid and did well at all positions along the line. His versatility is a reason why the team has kept him around for so long."
Bridges tore a ligament in his left thumb that will require surgery and will be out for the season.
The offensive line is already an early question mark for the Cardinals so, at least to ROTB, it makes sense to give McQuistan a look.
