The Arizona Cardinals travel hit the road this weekend for a Week 2 showdown with the New England Patriots. The Cardinals are coming off a thrilling victory over the Seahawks, while the Patriots made quick work of the Titans in their season opener.
For the Cardinals, all eyes will be on Kevin Kolb at quarterback. With John Skelton injured, it'll be Kolb as the starter, who was beaten out for the spot in training camp a few weeks back. The defense will also need to step up big time against the high-flying Patriots' offensive attack.
New England was one of the better offensive units in the game last year, led by veteran quarterback Tom Brady. He likes to air the ball out with Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Aaron Hernandez and former Arizona Wildcats star Rob Gronkowski making plays down the field. The Patriots also ran the ball a bit more than usual with Stevan Ridley last week, which presents yet another aspect the Cardinals' defense will have to account for.
When: 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT, Sunday, Sept. 16.
Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, Mass.
TV: FOX
