The Arizona Cardinals face a tough challenge this weekend as they hit the road to take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, who scored 34 points in their season opener against the Titans. Kevin Kolb will make the start in place of the injured John Skelton for Arizona.
Many of the experts have made their Week 2 picks. Do any of them like the Cardinals to win?
SB Nation:
Here is what SB Nation's Joel Thorman had to say about the matchup, as well as his prediction:
The real question here is whether the Patriots will cover as a 14-point favorite. If I was the oddsmaker I'd put this line at 28. Patriots win in a rout in their home opener.
The Pick: 45-17, Patriots
ESPN:
All of ESPN's football experts weighed in and they all like the Patriots to win. Their computer simulation also had New England victorious.
CBS Sports:
CBS Sports' analysts all picked the Cardinals to lose on Sunday.
NFL.com:
Albert Breer of NFL.com also likes the Patriots to win.
Bill Belichick pulled out this stat the other day: The Cardinals have won eight of their last 10. It's true, and it's because of an overlooked defense that will give Tom Brady and Co. some trouble. Just not nearly enough to overcome their own challenged offense.
