Kevin Kolb Injury Might Not Keep Him Out Of KC Game

Kevin Kolb had as bad a game as he could have had for six plays on Sunday night. He was picked off and left the game with an injury. However, the rib contusion he suffered doesn't appear to be too serious and it is possible that he could practice this week and play in Kansas City on Friday.

Kent Somers tweeted that head coach Ken Whisenhunt stated as much, which would be very good for the quarterback. Somers also heard from Kolb that there were no broken ribs, but that it was bruised ribs and diaphragm. There is no timetable for his returning.

The other injury that occurred in the game was linebacker Paris Lenon, who left the game after Mark Ingram scored on a one-yard touchdown run with an ankle injury. However, Lenon downplayed the injury, saying he was fine and that he wasn't going to go back in the game anyway.

Other than Kolb and Lenon, there have been no other reported injuries as of now.
