The Arizona Cardinals did not get a lot of production from the tight end position in 2011, so as a result it should come as no surprise that the Cardinal tight ends are not on the fantasy football radar heading into 2012.
SB Nation's fantasy sports blog, Fake Teams, recently released their 2012 fantasy tight end rankings and neither Todd Heap or Rob Housler were listed among the top 20 tight ends.
Heap was ranked as Fake Teams' 22nd best fantasy tight end heading into the 2011 season but he caught just 24 passes for 283 yards and one touchdown in his first season in Arizona. Heap missed six games in 2011, so injury and age concerns could both hurt his ranking.
Housler is entering his second NFL season, but after catching just 12 passes for 133 yards and no touchdowns during his rookie season, he's not yet on the fantasy football radar. Housler was a third round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and with Heap declining, Housler may see significantly more action in 2012.
