The Arizona Cardinals are hoping to get back to the playoffs, and Larry Fitzgerald will likely be the one to try and lead them there. Fitzgerald is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and has proven that he's more than capable of carrying the Cardinals offense at periods. He now hopes the offensive line play and run game can improve to help really unleash Fitzgerald and keep Arizona's offense moving in the right direction.
Fitzgerald does seem like a natural candidate to one day end up in Canton, and you have to figure a few good seasons down the line will eventually seal his bid. The Pro Football Hall of Fame did an interview with Fitzgerald about his Hall of Fame prospects, and he took the modest answer to the question about what he plans on doing to get there.
PFHOF: It’s almost taboo to talk about the Hall of Fame with active players. But, has the thought ever crossed your mind that you could someday get here?
LF: Only in my dreams! Every practice, every play, every series, every game of every season I’m in a chase of the pursuit of greatness. The standard has been set by the likes of Don Hutson, Lance Alworth, Charley Taylor, Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin. So, I just try and stay healthy, focused, productive and humble and reach for greater heights - getting back to and winning the Super Bowl.
