NFL Free Agents: Dave Zastudil Re-Signs With Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals and punter Dave Zastudil reached an agreement on Wednesday, keeping the 10-year veteran in the desert for the 2012 season

Zastudil puntied 87 times in 2011 for a career-high 3,929 yards (45.2 yard avg., 37.5 net avg.) in 15 games for Arizona last season. Zastudil was one of th best at downind punts inside the 20 yard line with 21 of his 24 total on the season those coming in the final 11 games. He joined the Cardinals last August as a free agent after playing with the Cleveland Browns the five previous seasons.

He originally entered the NFL with Baltimore as a fourth round pick (112th overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft out of Ohio. Zastudil spent his first four years with the Ravens before signing with the Browns in 2006. Zastudil has played in 128 carrer games and punted 668 times for 28,754 yards (43.0 yard avg.) with 203 punts landing inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
