Linebacker Vontaze Burfict improved his 40-yard dash time in his second Pro Day at Arizona State according to various reports.
At the NFL combine in mid-March, Burfict ran a disappointing 5.08 second 40-yard dash time. Burfict also improved his weight by going from 260lbs to 245lbs, a positive sign according to scouts.
While some NFL teams have taken Burfict off of their draft boards, some fans and even some organizations still think the former Sun Devil can be a quality player at the next level.
Round 2, Pick 8: The Panthers need help at LB all around so they will be picking Vontaze Burfict the LB out out Arizona St. He has dropped a lot because of behavior issues but he is an all out beast. (Via: Jshapgee, Turf Show Times)
Despite his well-documented behavior issues, Burfict believes that he can be a good NFL teammate:
"I think I'll come and change the whole atmosphere," Burfict said. "I'm a leader and I'll bring aggression to the game and the whole side of the defense." (Via: Scout.com)
