NFL Draft 2012: Arizona Cardinals Select Bobby Massie In 4th Round

The Arizona Cardinals had a big need to fill along the offensive line at the 2012 NFL Draft. It might have come a few rounds later than what most fans expected, but the Cardinals filled that void with offensive tackle Bobby Massie in the fourth round with the 112th overall pick. Many had the big OT projected for the second or third round, so it is a bit surprising he was still on the board in the fourth.

Here is more on Massie from Sports Illustrated:

Massie provided immediate impact as a freshman at Mississippi, and is a large lineman with a developing game. He possesses growth potential and should only get better as he physically matures and improves the details of his position.

The issues with Massie appear to be his technique and getting him to go all-out on every snap, but he is undoubtably talented. He will need some time to develop, but he has one of the higher upsides of any lineman available this weekend. At 6'6 and 310 pounds, you can bet he will be a load to handle on the offensive line in Arizona.
