NFL Mock Draft 2012: Juron Criner To Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins could use a wide receiver in this draft, particularly after they let go of Brandon Marshall. MIami's offense stagnated in the vertical passing game last year, and they definitely could use more capable players on the outside to help stretch the field.

DraftTek releases his latest mock, and the Dolphins end up using the 42nd pick in the second round of the NFL Draft. Miami end up picking Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Juron Criner in this mock. Criner had some of the best hands in the Pac-12 before he got injured, and is still a very capable talent that could very well pan out.

Miami jettisoned Brandon Marshall for a pair of 3rd round picks, depleting their roster of a true #1 WR. Could Criner be a feasible replacement? He's similar in size (6'3", 224 lbs) to the man he'd be replacing (6'4", 230 lbs). One glaring change between the soon-to-be rookie and Marshall would be their hands, or catching ability. Criner has arguably the best hands in the draft and should be a reliable possession WR early, while he hones his route running skill.
