NFL Mock Draft 2012: Todd McShay's Mock 3.0 Has Arizona Cardinals Selecting Offensive Line

The ESPN draft experts Mel Kiper and Todd McShay have released their most recent mock drafts, version 3.0, now that free agency is just a few days from commencing. Mel Kiper has the Arizona Cardinals selecting Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd.

McShay has a different idea for the Cardinals.

According to his Insider story (requires Insider access to read it in its entirety), McShay projects that the Arizona Cardinals will select Stanford offensive Tackle Jonathan Martin. Says McShay:

Another pick that seems like a reach, but offensive tackles always seem to go higher than expected because of positional value. I like Martin rather than Ohio State's Mike Adams at this point because of Martin's more consistent effort, and more than Georgia's Cordy Glenn because of Martin's potential to play left tackle. And that's exactly what the Cardinals need right now with contract extension talks with current LT Levi Brown falling apart.

A reach? We have seen so many projections that follow suit with Arizona taking a lineman, so I don't know if Martin is a reach at 13. I do know that he will be anything more than Levi Brown or Leonard Davis were.
