Aside from perennial Pro-Bowler Larry Fitzgerald the Arizona Cardinals could use some fresh, big bodies at the wide receiver position moving forward. There are a number of talented wide outs coming into this year's NFL Draft, and according to ESPN's Mel Kiper's latest mock draft, Arizona would select WR Michael Floyd out of Notre Dame.
Per Kiper on ESPN:
Offensive line would be the more obvious pick here, but I want to see what the Cardinals do in free agency first. Floyd would be a great complement to Larry Fitzgerald in that offense, and give the Cardinals an enviable pair of guys that can work underneath, go deep and also post up smaller defensive backs in the red zone. Outside of the offensive line, Floyd is as much as you could do to help a quarterback.
I agree with Kiper that the O-line is the most glaring place for improvement, and I also agree that they would be better suited getting a veteran in free agency then having to wait and polish a new O-lineman out of the gate. If Floyd makes his way to Arizona, i'd look for him to be making important plays in his first year in the league for the Cardinals.
