NFL Free Agents: William Gay Returns To Cardinals, In Discussions With Vonnie Holiday According To Report

According to multiple sources including the horses mouth itself the Arizona Cardinals and free agent cornerback William Gay have agreed on a deal to bring him to the desert next season, while are in talks with defensive lineman Vonnie Holiday as well.

Gay started 15 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011, likely being brought in to be a replacement for Richard Marshall in the nickel. With Patrick Peterson and A.J. Jefferson owning the starting spots, he could also see some time at safety. It also reconnects Gay with Ray Horton, the Cards defensive coordinator who worked with Gay in Pittsburgh.

As for Holiday, his veteran presence will be felt at any team he lands with, but could prove to be some help if he does indeed return to Arizona next season.
