In NFL.com's latest mock draft, put together by Charles Davis, the Arizona Cardinals select Iowa offensive tackle Riley Reiff in the first round with their No. 13 overall pick. This selection would make sense for the Cardinals in the first round as they had trouble protecting the quarterback in 2011. The Cardinals offensive line allowed their quarterbacks to be sacked 54 times in the 2011 season, which is the second most in the NFL, and the addition of a talented lineman could really help them compete in the NFC West in 2012.
Reiff is considered the second best offensive tackle in this year's draft class by many analysts behind USC's Matt Kalil. Reiff is a 6-foot-5, 313-pound tackle that could succeed both as a run blocker and a pass protector. He should be an immediate upgrade at the tackle position for the Cardinals and should be able to help keep the quarterback much safer in the pocket.
