NFL Mock Draft 2012: An Interesting Cardinals Pick In Latest Rob Rang Mock

CBS Sports' Rob Rang recently published a new mock draft, and this time of the year while we're well into free agency and in the run up to the Draft where teams' true needs are starting to emerge, Rang had an interesting selection for the Cardinals. At the 13th spot, here is Rang's pick and analysis:

Melvin Ingram, OLB, South Carolina: The Cardinals might believe they have the young players already in place at outside linebacker to successfully rush the quarterback with Sam Acho and O'Brien Schofield showing flashes in limited duty last year. For a club that has struggled consistently putting pressure on the quarterback, however, the opportunity to add another versatile pass rusher might make a lot of sense. Ingram is viewed as some as the top pass rusher in the 2012 draft class.

An intriguing pick, for sure, as the Cardinals do have a nice young OLB corps with promising talent in Acho and Schofield, but as Rang says, Ingram is a talent that this front office might not be able to pass up.
