Arizona Cardinals Reportedly To Re-Sign OT Levi Brown

The Arizona Cardinals have apparently made another move on the free agent front, and it is another move on the offensive line. The team is set to announce the re-signing of former first-round pick Levi Brown, per Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

Tweeted Somers:

Brown was released earlier in the week to comply with salary cap rules. In the final year of his rookie contract, he was set to have a cap number of almost $17 million.

He was the number five pick in the 2007 draft and has been seen by Cardinals fans largely as a disappointment, especially since he was moved to left tackle in 2010. He played better in the second half of 2011 and the team wanted to bring him back.

With Brown in the fold, it is unknown yet whether he will be playing left or right tackle this season. That will depend on what happens during the rest of free agency and in the draft in April.
