NFL Mock Draft 2012: Arizona Cardinals Select Riley Reiff To Bolster Offensive Line

The Arizona Cardinals just missed the playoffs this past season and the team appears to be right on the cusp of returning to the playoffs once again. Assuming the Cardinals can come through with a strong showing at the 2012 NFL Draft, there is no reason to believe they will not be right in the middle of the postseason chase next year. While there are various areas of the team to improve, most see Arizona selecting an offensive lineman this April.

Our very own site, Revenge Of The Birds, just released their latest mock draft.

13. Arizona Cardinals - Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa. Reiff has previously been labeled a top 10 talent, but some are questioning his speed and his ability to protect the left side. Depending on Arizona's tackle situation around draft time they could either pick him up and use him as an all-star RT, or try him at LT and slide Levi (if he comes back) to RT to find the best fit. I think Reiff is solid and I would be very happy to see him fall to 13.

The Cardinals undoubtably need to improve their offensive line and protecting their quarterback better is an absolute necessity going forward, regardless if that QB is Peyton Manning, Kevin Kolb or someone else. In addition to the o-line, the team may look to select a wide receiver to improve their offensive attack or a defensive lineman.
