Arizona Cardinals WR Early Doucet (concussion) will end his 2012 season with four consecutive missed games after the team ruled him out for Sunday's Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Doucet took a huge step in the wrong direction this season, finishing the year with only 28 catches for 207 yards and no touchdowns. While Arizona's dreadful quarterback carousal undoubtedly played a part in that, his numbers are still a concerning sign when you take into consideration what he was able to do last year with Kevin Kolb and John Skelton (54 catches, 689 yards, five touchdowns). Doucet still has one year and $1.95 million left on the contract he signed with the Cardinals last season though so he's likely to get another chance at that reasonable price.
The rest of the Cardinals injury report has four players listed as questionable: G/C Mike Gibson (calf), LT Nate Potter (ankle), FB Anthony Sherman (knee) and DE Ronald Talley (ankle). Potter's absence would be the most concerning if he wasn't able to suit up against the 49ers powerful pass rush but he might have a chance after finally getting back to practice in limited fashion Friday.
S Rashad Johnson (hamstring), S Kerry Rhodes (illness), S James Sanders (calf), CB Greg Toler (hamstring), DT Dan Williams (hamstring) and S Adrian Wilson (illness) are all expected to be on the field after being slapped with a probable tag.
WR LaRon Byrd (knee) wasn't as fortunate as he was assigned a doubtful label after sitting of practice all week.
