The Arizona Cardinals finish a dismal season against the San Francisco 49ers in a game with playoff implications, but not for the Cardinals.
Sunday's game could be Larry Fitzgerald's last in an Arizona uniform. Brian Hoyer came in last week to replace Ryan Lindley, although it's not clear who will start at quarterback. Lindley has thrown seven interceptions without a touchdown in his rookie season. The Niners would seal an NFC West title with the win.
Elsewhere in the league, every team is playing another squad from their division as the NFL wanted to pack the final week of the season with rivalries to keep as many divisional titles in play as possible. The only game between teams still vying for the title is the NFC East showdown between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys, with the winner coming away with the division and the loser likely missing out on the playoffs, although scenarios could play out where Washington still advances with a win.
