Cardinals vs. Jets 2012: Game preview, kickoff time, TV schedule and more

The Cardinals and the Jets are virtually mirror images of each other and are both struggling. Only one can turn things around on Sunday.

Christian Petersen

The Arizona Cardinals take on the New York Jets in Week 13 in a matchup between two struggling teams. Both 4-7, the Cardinals have lost seven straight while New York has lost four of their last five.

Both teams have fared better on defense than on offense, specifically doing well against the pass. Arizona allows an average of 203.7 passing yards per game, fourth in the league, while New York gives up 211.3, seventh in the league. Both also struggle against the run, with New York's 142.8 yards per game ranking them 30th, and Arizona's 124.2 rank them 23rd.

The Jets have a slight advantage on offense, rushing for nearly 30 more yards per game than Arizona, but the Cardinals' defense may nullify that edge with their advantage in turnovers. The Jets have fumbled 12 times this year and have a -3 turnover differential, while Arizona has forced 8 fumbles and have a +4 differential.

Although both seasons are likely lost at this point, undoubtedly both teams are looking forward to Sunday's opportunity to stop the bleeding.
